There are only five days left before nominations close for the most prestigious mortgage industry awards night of the year .

The 2022 Australian Mortgage Awards will this year be an in-person event for the first time in three years. The black-tie gala will be held at the Fullerton Hotel in Sydney on 14 October.

Don’t miss out on taking part in a face-to-face celebration of the leading brokers, brokerages, lenders, non-banks, aggregators and BDMs that raised the bar this year.

For 21 years, the AMAs have been the premium event on the industry calendar. The awards are organised by Key Media and supported by two publications of choice for the country’s most forward-thinking mortgage brokers, Australian Broker and Mortgage Professional Australia.

The event will include pre-awards cocktail reception, red carpet, dinner banquet, awards ceremony, and live entertainment throughout the evening.

If that’s not enough reason to participate, the nomination and submission process has also been simplified. Those who place nominations are no longer required to complete a final submission later.

There are 25 categories open for nomination, plus the two main awards – Westpac Australian Broker of the Year and Liberty Australian Brokerage of the Year. You are free to nominate yourself, your colleague or brokerage for the chance to gain the ultimate recognition in the mortgage broking industry.

Take it from Luke Whitbread (pictured), a broker at Mortgage Choice Erina, who was named the MFAA Young Gun of the Year – Franchise at the 2021 Australian Mortgage Awards. It was the second year in a row that a broker from Mortgage Choice Erina had won this award. Whitbread’s colleague Katie Dowton took the title in 2020.

“It was a pleasant surprise,” Whitbread said when speaking to Australian Broker last year after winning the award. “I also felt a lot of satisfaction knowing the effort the team and I have made over the past year to grow and develop our business was at the highest quality.”
