Former peer-to-peer lending giant Funding Circle has appointed Bruno Tavares as vice president of engineering, as the business lender works to expand its product range.
Tavares has more than 20 years of experience growing engineering teams and scaling products across a range of sectors. He has previously worked at digital healthcare specialists Elephant Healthcare, and sports streaming service DAZN.

In his new role at Funding Circle, Tavares will help to develop the platform’s product suites, while also rolling out “revolutionary” new products and capabilities.
“I’m really excited to be welcoming Bruno to the team,” said Swati Lay, chief technology officer at Funding Circle.
“As we expand the set of products that we offer to small businesses, Bruno’s experience of scaling and nurturing great engineering teams will play an invaluable part in delivering on Funding Circle’s 2024 plan.”
