SHIFT, our annual female founders’ program, is back.
Despite the existence of some great organisations and programs working on this, the proportion of female-founded startups has remained frustratingly static over the past decade.
In fact, “the share of venture capital funding invested in startups with at least one female founder has remained at around 12 percent every year since 2011.” (Source: Statista).
At StartSomeGood, we want to be part of SHIFTING this ratio.
That’s why we launched SHIFT, the Female Founders version of our Good Hustle social enterprise design course.
While not everyone needs or wants such a space, SHIFT creates a female founder (and non-binary founder)-friendly space to explore social enterprise ideas and support each other on the journey of launching and growing an impact business.
The SHIFT program starts on May 9, and is co-hosted by StartSomeGood CEO Tom Dawkins and All Of The Good Things Founder Nimmity Zappert.
We are looking for emerging female and non-binary social entrepreneurs with a passion and commitment to making a difference to work with.
Together, we will walk the entrepreneurial path, with video modules from some of the world’s leading social entrepreneurs, small group coaching, peer-support and mentoring and great guest speakers.
Thanks to our great partners, we also have not one, not two but TEN scholarships available for Pioneering Women who want to pursue their impact dreams.
Applications are due May 2 — apply here.
Share this with a woman who you know has a great idea for a social enterprise — or is already working on a social enterprise concept — and who you think deserves this boost or help spread the word by liking and sharing.
Gratitude to Public Interest Registry and the June Canavan Foundation for their support.
